  • Eradication of bucket system

The project has been running for two years now. Certain areas have been identified that includes Matlwang and Ikageng extension 11. The construction work has been started whereby in Matlwang two boreholes has been drilled and in Extension 11 the construction is still in process.

Keeping Of Animals

Potchefstroom is experiencing problems about the keeping of animals at Ikageng and extensions. Meetings have been convened with the cattle owners whereby they have made a pledge to Council for land to use for feeding. A policy has been drafted in this respect, but not promulgated yet. Animal owners are still waiting for reply from Council.
