Mission

The Department is committed to actively and continuously contribute to the satisfaction of the basic needs for engineering services of all the people of the community

• Through a process of consultation and community participation

• To ensure that the services are provided in an equitable, affordable and sustainable manner

• To alleviate the living conditions of all the residents and

• To promote and support economic and other development through the delivery of engineering services.

Strategy

• Implement a fleet management system

• Provide quality roads and storm water systems

• Maintain and manage the road and storm-water infrastructure

• Ensure that Council demonstrates efficient use of water and sewers and is not directly responsible for inefficient use or wastage

• Optimise the sustainability of the delivery of water services

• Manage the planning, construction and maintenance of an integrated system supplying high voltage electricity throughout Potch

• Conduct the management of energy through the purchase marketing and metering of electricity

• Employ Emerging Contractors on Capital Projects

• Create a culture of water conservation and demand management

• Protect the public investment in the infrastructures
