Re: Alert on electricity cuts due to construction work at the new mall:

On Sunday, 16 September 2007 there will be power interruptions in certain areas which are supplied with electricity by the Delta substation in the city of Potchefstroom.

The City’s electrical engineers will have to switch off Delta substation to install switchgear to the new Mall complex known as (Mooirivier Mall). Due to this installation electricity supply will have to be interrupted.

The substation will be switched off from 07h00 until 17h00, it is therefore advised that all the electrical circuits must be considered as live at all times even during these times.

Areas to be affected are as follows:

Grimbeeckpark; New Bailiepark; old Baileipark; van der Hoffpark and new extention; Vyfhoek holdings; Nothern areas of town between Albert Luthuli (von Wiellighstreet) Walter Sisulu avenue (Kerkstreet); Govern Mbeki drive(Mooirivierrylaan) and Smithstreet. ; Govern Mbeki drive (Mooirivierrylaan) between Albert Luthuli (von Wiellighstreet) and Smithstreet; Rivierstreet between Spruitstreet and Nelson Mandela drive (Potgieterstreet); Mareestreet between Govern Mbeki drive and Walter Sisulu (Kerkstreet); Palmietstreet; Fickstreet; Totiusstreet; Klopperstreet; le Rouxstreet; Clarkstreet; Goetzstreet; Stilstreet; Shortstreet Retiefstreet between Govern Mbeki drive and (Mooirivierrylaan) and Peter Mokaba (van Riebeeckstreet); Singerstreet; Dr. James Maroka (Lombaardstreet) between Govern Mbeki (Mooirivierrylaan). and O R Tambo (Greylingstreet); Gluckmanstreet; Perrinstreet; New Marketstreet; Olenlaan; Nelson Mandela drive (Potgieterstreet) between Govern Mbeki drive (Mooirivierrylaan) and O R Tambo (Greylingstreet); Wolmaransstreet between Walter Sisulu (Kerkstreet) en Meadowstreet; Barrishlaan; Boshoffstreet; Lukestreet; de Wetstreet; du Toitstreet; Barnardstreet; Sol Plaatjie (Gouwsstreet) between Piet Uysstreet en du Plooystreet; Piet Uysstreet and the Dan Tloome Civic Chambers.
